Welcome to the late-night radio station. Tonight's topic: it's 2 a.m., your paper is due tomorrow, and you're stuck. Our station has two "guests" on the line—let's see whether they're up to the job this late at night.

Call One: My train of thought has stalled

WorkBuddy says it can chat with you and help you sort out your thoughts—ten minutes of chatting later, the thoughts aren't sorted, but you're definitely less anxious. Switching to the second hotline: go back to the knowledge base and dig through old annotations—three months ago you noted an idea about this very problem, and there it sits, source and all. Time to get unstuck: four minutes.

Call Two: Missing a key reference

WorkBuddy rattled off a few book titles from memory, impossible to tell if they're real. Switch to the search library: direct hit, complete metadata, source confirmed on the spot.

Call Three: Can't understand a foreign-language passage

WorkBuddy asks you to paste the passage over and then asks you one paragraph at a time. Switch to task-based translation: the whole document is processed, terminology stays consistent, and once it's translated you can go on to extract data from it.

Call Four: It's due at dawn

WorkBuddy gives you decent text, but you're on your own for formatting. Switch to the agent: it produces a finished file directly, you tweak two spots, go to bed at five, and submit at eight.
